Ingredients
Enough water to fill the coffee maker as directed
Freshly ground coffee beans
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1-2 tbsp functional collagen (No.1 or No.2)
I found that after a few months of trial and error, this is my preferred method of making coffee these days. I recommend the 3 cup Bialetti Italian Espresso Maker because, experience showed me, you must brew the whole cup to make it correctly, as well as fill the chamber up entirely with grounds or it will not work. The 3 cup is enough to make two strong servings of coffee for me.
* CAUTION: make sure the coffee maker handle is not directly over the heat or it will melt.
Directions
1 - Use cold water fill coffee maker with
2 - Small flame or stove top setting on low is best, take your time.
3 - Grind the coffee - slightly coarse. If too coarse, the water will pass through too quickly. Use freshly ground beans, to grind the beans I use KRUPS Electric Spice and Coffee Grinder - it's great!
4 - Pack it in slightly with your thumb or the palm of your hand. What you’re looking for is an oozing of the coffee through the top, not a gushing flow.
5 - Set timer for 7 minutes.
6 - Once coffee is done, pour it in a blender, add Grass-fed Unsalted butter (I use Kerrygold Grass-fed butter) and the No. 1 or No.2 Functional Collagen. Blend!
7 - Enjoy! In the morning or as a nice mid-day snack!
